WILD & SCENIC FILM FESTIVAL – ON TOUR
Landmark Raises Awareness and Education About the Conservation of Environment Through Fun National Event
 
March 13, 2024 (Jupiter, FL)Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum, the historical landmark that sits on the confluence of the Indian and Loxahatchee Rivers at the Jupiter Inlet, announces exciting details about its tenth annual Wild & Scenic Film Festival – On Tour. On Saturday, April 13 between 6 - 10 p.m., guests are invited to enjoy fresh air, delicious food trucks and refreshing drinks, while watching outstanding international short films from one of the nation’s premiere environmental and adventure film festivals.
 
The Wild & Scenic Film Festival is one of my favorite events of the year. It’s an inspiring and exciting way to connect to our environment, local activists and partners, and get a glimpse into larger national and international issues,” said Katrina Heller, Executive Director of Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum. “I look forward to seeing our community come together for this fun event!”
 
The 2024 Wild & Scenic Film Festival theme is “Reel Action.” Featuring a series of 13 short films, the local event meant to inspire engagement and provide an opportunity for guests to interact with other local environmental organizations, including Bureau of Land Management/Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse Outstanding Natural Area, The River Center/Loxahatchee River District, Jupiter Inlet Foundation, Friends of Jupiter Beach, Wild Dolphin Project, Beach Bucket Foundation, Jupiter Narrows Conservation Alliance, Manatee Lagoon and the Nature Conservancy. 
 
Jupiter Inlet Lighthouse & Museum is a congressionally identified partner in the management of 120 acres of nationally significant property surrounded by urban development and busy waterways. The Museum sits on the Loxahatchee River, portions of which are a Wild & Scenic River as designated in 1985 by Wild & Scenic Rivers Act. As part of a national tour, the Wild & Scenic Film Festival tours across the country and uses the event to promote an urgent call of action for preservation of the environment.
 
Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Gates open at 6 p.m., with the short films beginning at 8 p.m. Tickets start at $25, with limited availability.
