Lake Worth Beach, FL, August 17, 2021 – “Holy ****, we made the list! We made the Inc. 5000,” Deana Pizzo exclaimed to her husband and business partner, Jason Pizzo. Jason echoed her enthusiastic phrasing and added a wide smile!
The Pizzo’s are the founders of I.T. Solutions of South Florida, an award-winning Managed Service Provider based in Lake Worth Beach, FL. Deana serves as CEO of this certified woman-owned business and Jason leads the network engineering team as CIO.
Today, Inc. magazine revealed that I.T. Solutions of South Florida recorded 72% growth and placed number 4139 on its annual Inc. 5000 list, the most prestigious ranking of the nation’s fastest-growing private companies. The list represents a unique look at the most successful companies within the American economy’s most dynamic segment—its independent small businesses. Intuit, Zappos, Under Armour, Microsoft, Patagonia, and many other well-known names gained their first national exposure as honorees on the Inc. 5000.
“This is definitely a bucket-list moment for our business,” Deana said. “In the 17 years since Jason and I started our business together in our living room with two small children, there were definitely times when making the Inc. 5000 list seemed like a far-off dream. I can’t believe the day is finally here.”
I.T. Solutions of South Florida is no stranger to prestigious awards. In the past year, the company was ranked in the Top 100 of global managed service providers by Channel Futures and was named the 2021 Small Business of the Year by the Palm Beach North Chamber of Commerce. In addition, Deana celebrated earning a spot on the South Florida Business Journal’s 2021 Influential Business Women list.
However, this is the first time, the company has been on the national stage for growth.
“I’d like to take a moment to thank my team for all their hard work and dedication to our clients and to our success as a company. We wouldn’t be realizing this dream without them,” Deana said.
Deana shied away from comparing the Inc. 5000 milestone to the other awards she and the company have earned. “Anytime you are recognized outside of your industry for leadership, generosity or growth, it is a real blessing,” she said.
Not only have the companies on the 2021 Inc. 5000 been very competitive within their markets, but this year’s list also proved especially resilient and flexible given 2020’s unprecedented challenges. Among the 5,000, the average median three-year growth rate soared to 543 percent, and median revenue reached $11.1 million. Together, those companies added more than 610,000 jobs over the past three years.
