Introducing Center for Family Services’ New COO

West Palm Beach, Florida (November 2020)

The Center for Family Services of Palm Beach County (CFS) is excited to welcome their new COO, Dawn Silver, Ph.D., to the team.  Dr. Silver is a Licensed Clinical Psychologist with over fifteen years of experience in the field.  She has been practicing in South Florida since 2008 as a supervisor and overseeing co-occurring disorders programs in Broward and Palm Beach Counties.

Dr. Silver is a native Floridian with education and training from Cornell University, University of Michigan, and Pennsylvania State University.  Her initial training focused on neuropsychology, emphasizing research and therapy to improve the quality of life for people with neurodegenerative conditions.  Later, Dr. Silver created clinical and educational programming for college-bound individuals; mediated for family systems with high-conflict; and specialized in assisting individuals with sexual identity, orientation, and other sexual functioning issues.  Dr. Silver has dedicated the past ten years to improving clinical care quality- in both the private and public sectors- for individuals with substance misuse and co-occurring disorders.

Dr. Silver joined CFS in November, and she looks forward to building community partnerships and working with the CFS team of clinicians and staff.  She is committed to maintaining and strengthening the vital mental health programs that CFS provides to the Palm Beach community.
