Roots & Ruts 5K at Els For Autism

Mark your calendars, lace up your shoes, and get ready for an exciting off-road adventure at the fifth annual Roots & Ruts Off-Road 5K Run/Walk, benefiting Els for Autism! Join us on April 20, 2024, during World Autism Month to show your support for a fantastic cause.

This event is not just a race; it's a celebration of the incredible strides our community continues to make in creating limitless possibilities for individuals with autism. The Roots & Ruts 5K is not only a fundraiser but also an opportunity to come together and support people and families touched by autism.

Here's everything you need to know:

 Route Details | 8 AM 5K Start Time
The race will begin at The Els Center of Excellence® in Jupiter, Florida. As you race through the route, experience the beauty of the North Jupiter Flatwoods, Florida's first certified autism-friendly trail. Each runner/walker will receive a disposable timing tag affixed to the race bib for accurate net timing.

 FREE Sensory-Friendly Obstacle Course | 8:00 AM – 11:00 AM
This course is perfect for all ages and abilities and will feature an array of obstacles that involve jumping, balancing, crawling, and more located at The Els Center of Excellence.

 Post-Race Expo | 8:30 AM – 11:00 AM
Enjoy vendor booths consisting of micro-businesses with products created by individuals with autism, race sponsors, autism employment partners, and food vendors. There will be performances, activities, race awards, and much more, making it a morning you won't want to miss!

 Virtual Race Option
Can't make it to the event in person? No problem! Participate in the Els for Autism Virtual Roots & Ruts Off-Road 5K from anywhere in the world. We invite all virtual participants to post pictures of themselves, friends, family, and colleagues completing their run or walk on social media!
