Event Description:
The Literacy Coalition of Palm Beach County will host the Fairways for Literacy golf tournament on Friday, October 23, 2026, at The Nest Par 3, at Sandhill Crane Golf Club in Palm Beach Gardens.
The fundraiser will benefit literacy programs countywide and support efforts to connect children, adults, and families with the literacy skills and educational opportunities they need to succeed in school, at work and in life.
“Fairways for Literacy is about more than a round of golf,” said Literacy Coalition CEO Kristin Calder. “We’re bringing our community together for a fun and memorable event while raising critical funds to help local children, adults and families build the literacy skills they need to succeed. We hope everyone will come out, play for literacy and stay to celebrate the impact we can make together,” she added.
The event will begin with a Par 3 tournament at 2 p.m., followed by an evening social at 5 p.m. featuring dinner, drinks, golf challenges, TrackMan driving range bays, contests and family-friendly activities.
Literacy Coalition board member Adam Hodges is the chair of the tournament, and committee members include Caleb Bowser, Valrie Martin Buchanan, Travis Foels and Nancy Vera.
The registration cost for a foursome is $1,200 and the cost for a tee sign is $300. Additional sponsorship opportunities are available.
