ESTABLISHED LOCAL ATTORNEY AND REALTOR LAUNCH PROFESSIONAL REAL ESTATE ADVISORS
South Florida natives, Stephen Mathison and Charles Siebrecht, bring a full-service approach to new venture

(Palm Beach Gardens, Fla.) – Two Palm Beach Gardens professionals who have been friends for more than 25 years, have joined forces to introduce a new business to the South Florida market. Stephen Mathison, managing partner of Mathison Whittles Attorneys at Law, a full-service firm offering real estate business estate planning and complex civil litigation services, and Charles Siebrecht, licensed Florida real estate broker, state certified residential appraiser and owner of Siebrecht Properties and Siebrecht Appraising, have launched Professional Real Estate Advisors (PRA). The office for PRA is located at 5606 PGA Blvd., Suite 111, Palm Beach Gardens.

PRA uniquely combines Mathison’s legal real estate expertise with Siebrecht’s front line experience with buying and selling homes. In addition, realtor Brig Edwards brings his commercial real estate expertise to PRA.

“With historic low interest rates and the volatile stock market due to COVID-19, many people are choosing to invest their money in real estate,” said Siebrecht. “What’s unique about Professional Real Estate Advisors is there is no one else in the market like us. We are a one-stop shop for companies, individuals and even realtors themselves. We have decades of experience in the real estate market on the legal, listing, buying and appraising side of the business. We want to be the quiet force in real estate; here for your interest with value added and ethics you can trust.”

Individuals in the northeast have long been attracted to Florida’s favorable tax laws. Even more recently with the global pandemic, the sunshine state has seen an increase in those wanting to permanently relocate.

“As Florida based professionals, we are seeing a tremendous interest on the part of individual and business clients in relocating from northern states where they are subject to personal estate and income tax both at the state and in many cases, the city level which can no longer be set off or credited against Federal tax,” said Mathison. “We work with our clients to implement best practices and strategies in making this important transition.”

Siebrecht has more than 25 years’ experience as a realtor and appraiser in Palm Beach County and surrounding areas. His knowledge and experience in the real estate sector has had him recognized as an expert on many panels throughout the county. Siebrecht has his Associate of Arts degree from the University of Florida. He currently lives in Jupiter with his family. He has been involved with The Lord’s Place in West Palm Beach and enjoys spending time with his four young children, ages 19 months to 10 years old, and playing golf in his down time.

Mathison has practiced real estate, business and estate planning law in Palm Beach County for more than 35 years. He has worked on such projects as BallenIsles, Frenchman’s Creek, Gardens Mall, PGA Commons and most recently Avenir. He is a founding member and past chairman for the PGA Corridor Association and the current economic and development chair. He is a member of the Palm Beach Gardens Charter Review board, chair of the North Palm Beach Country Club, longtime chair and board member of the Palm Beach State College Foundation Scholarship and is on the board of numerous financial institutions. Mathison has a Bachelor of Science degree from Palm Beach State College and Juris Doctor degree from the University of Florida. He currently lives in North Palm Beach and is an avid golfer and musician.

“Today, buyers are looking for additional price concessions as a result of not directly seeing the home or condominium unit, while sellers believe there should be a price premium due to the migration of northeastern residents to Florida,” continued Mathison. “PRA is a way to reach an unserved demographic of clients who want and deserve professional representation regarding all aspects of buying and selling property, including valuation, due diligence and legal representation.”

Edwards has 30 years of diverse real estate valuation and consulting experience and has been responsible for assignments totaling over $3 billion in assets. He has assisted clients in locating, analyzing and purchasing commercial and industrial properties for their own use and as investments. Some of his clients have included The Kolter Group, Florida Power & Light (Nextera), Florida Department of Transportation, PNC Bank, Northern Trust, Department of Environmental Protection and Public Land Trust. Edwards is also a state certified general appraiser and sales associate and currently holds the Member of the Appraisal Institute designation. He has also served as a managing partner in Golf Investment Advisors (GIA), a golf course consulting firm where he prepared golf course feasibility studies

“Steve, Brig and I all have proven track records when it comes to our businesses,” continued Siebrecht. “We are proud of our long-standing clients and look forward to merging our attributes into one company. As a licensed appraiser, I have the education and qualifications to provide the type of reliable home values that banks and major lending institutions require for home loans. Joined with Brig’s diverse real estate valuation and consulting experience and Steve’s expertise in contract negotiations of purchase and sale agreements, closings and title work, and shaping complex estate plans, we have a product that no one else has.”

In light of COVID-19 precautions, the business partners are currently closing transactions by overnight mail, electronic secure transfer as well as going to their clients for purposes of executing closing documentation. “Drive-by signings” of real estate transactions are also being conducted in the courtyard of the Mathison Whittles office building off PGA Blvd, just outside of BallenIsles and Old Palm.

Mathison says he recently purchased the building, bringing the longtime friendship full circle. “Charles’ father actually purchased the land in the late 1970’s and his mother was my landlord at this property until I purchased it in 2020. With this new chapter, our goal with PRA is to continue to contribute to the quality of life for northern Palm Beach County businesses and residents.”
