Event Description:
Join the Northern Palm Beach County Chamber of Commerce for our monthly breakfast on Wednesday, May 11, 2016 at the Palm Beach Gardens Marriott. Teacher of the Year Awards and John C. Giba Student Leadership Award winners will be announced.
One teacher from every public school in the North Palm Beach County School District will receive an award, as well as one teacher from each private school that is a member of the Chamber. This event features keynote speaker Dr. Joseph Lee, Area 4 Superintendent for Palm Beach County School Board.
The Chamber will award 34 teachers with Teacher of the Year Awards. One teacher from every public school in the North Palm Beach County School District will receive an award, as well as one teacher from each private school that is a member of the Chamber.
In addition, five high school seniors will be awarded the John Giba Student Leadership Award. The Student Leadership Award program honors seniors who demonstrate leadership qualities, by actively participating in school and community activities and this year's recipients exemplify true student leaders. The Chamber Foundation established the John Giba Student Leadership Award in 1999. John Giba was a Tequesta business leader for many years who wanted to invest in the future of young people.
